Love Stack..
Some natural bling to shine in the grey…that won’t break the bank.
Made by two sisters in Canada with a shared love of nature and making wearable art.
The rings are cast in a handmade mould using eco resin – a biobased product derived from pine oils from the waste streams of other manufacturing products.
They’re left to cure for a week before being sanded down smooth using over 10 grades of sandpaper and polishing tools.
So each one is unique.
Find them at their Etsy shop Rosella Resin . With prices starting at just £24.95 plus postage it’s a tastefully environmental win win.

Eye Fear No Evil x
Sometimes I play that game in my head where you choose the people, dead or alive (Halloween is round the corner, though pre-buried state is preferred) that you’d love to sit down with large bottles of wine and have dinner with. The jewellery designer Solange Azagury-Partridge is definitely on the list. Self made, self taught, she looks at gems with a totally different eye. Her scary pieces cross the divide between just being brilliant Halloween bling with craft and humour to pieces you could flaunt all year round.
The heart of darkness..
The bleeding heart.
Something to scare the children.
(Scare the husband with the price..)

Need to make a point? This is the heart plucker ring..
As worn by Charlize Theron as evil Queen Ravenna in Snow White and the Huntsman.
Yep. She’s that good.

Another Garde x
One of the great joys from this daily ritual of Blogging are the people you meet, drawn together from across the world through the magic of the internet and the love of great design. It’s how I met Soumountha – a very funny, fearless and edgy French-Lao-mum-to-3-kids-slash-blogger-and-entrepreneur who’s been looking for the perfect vehicle to focus her creative high energy, because Soumountha is a tigress with a deep motherlove who knows that to feed herself spiritually she needs that creative outlet. And now, with a perfectly executed flying kick, she has leapt into the fray with her own online boutique for emerging fashion brands: Another Garde. I wanted to know more…so we in between her hectic schedule we sat down, dressed in our imaginary finest with the perfect bottle of virtual wine to cut to the chase on the latest about her new fashion baby…
Go England!
Brass…
Today is our fifteenth wedding anniversary…..15 years!…I wanted to upload a picture from the holiday, but the IPad is failing me, instead it’s pictures of all things brass and delicious saved into the library before we left, but they’re a surprisingly good representation of a golden time and a very wonderful man….

Tickled Pink x
Rebecca Wilson is a young sculptor domiciled in Scotland with a cheeky sense of humour.
With her jewellery range she’s become the burlesque dancer of adornment.
Not that jewellery is the only thing she does..take this light, titled ‘Many hands make light work’
Beautifully cast in glow loving porcelain.
Or this one…inspired by jammy dodgers..
And temptingly called ‘Light snack’
Rebecca takes pleasure in looking at the humble objects of life – like these matches – and wants to see our reaction when she alters them either by material, situation or size..she wants to understand, why does our reaction then change?
It’s honesty and frivolity glued together with the luxury of porcelain and talent.
Just delicious.

Summer DIY
The rollercoaster ride of summer is gathering speed..today will be the first day of wearing a summer dress all day long without a coat. Bliss. I would happily wear summer dresses all summer long – they are without doubt the ultimate capsule wardrobe. I did my Atlantique Ascoli check and I have 5 cotton ones…so I’m on the hunt for 2 more to make 7 outfits for the sun ticked off. They’re all I take on holiday now – simply blinged and pimped with jewellery and different shoes for the evening.
I’m also collecting together my summer craft box – a tupperware container with enough bits to while away the magic hours that only appear on holidays, when time seems to get stretched by the sun. Last year we made macrame and friendship bracelets (even Charlie can rustle up a mean macrame)..and I’m sure we’ll make more this year..we got pretty proficient at sewing in chains and all sorts..
This year I’ve found this to add in..all we’ll need to add are a crochet hook, some buttons….
Maybe we’ll finally do a take on this…all I need is time..(and that little bit of child labour)……….

A sense of summer ..
Summer…lazy days, turquoise skies, a sense of freedom so good it can’t be legal…and all this captured in a ring…
It’s the work of Ileana Makri, a native Greek who brings the lilt of a folk song and the suggestion of a mythical tale to her work..but who’s also not afraid to explore the modern symbols of life.
There’s a wit and clarity to her work. You want to wear it for a smokey night on the tiles..or with bare feet and sunkissed hair..
I’ll take the sunkissed hair option every time..
