What a treat the Sunday Times Home supplement had this week – and whole article on this amazing story – Club Jupiter – the tale of three talented friends pulling together to create something special over lockdown that will change the way you think of static caravans forever. So much of this spoke to my heart – taking something forgotten and breathing new life, stripping away the plastic and replacing it with everything natural and considered, three women with a special bond, three women with fantastic eyes for colour and pattern; it’s a dream made in heaven – or rather Margate, because this little beauty is now up for renting – so not only brilliant but financially brilliant as well – I doff my feathered cap you incredible girls.

A little slice of heaven.

At home with Cara x
An Architectural Digest tour of Cara Dellvingne’s L.A. home (as supposed to the one she shared with her sister, Poppy) In fact, this is about Cara living her best life and embracing her eccentric spirit. For me, it’s the first time I’ve seen the true extremes of money: we have bedrooms, dining rooms, sitting rooms? She has a velvet pussy palace and a vagina tunnel! Honestly watch – you’ll only smile!

Oversized x
WordPress have been highlighting a new editor/format thingy for some time. But I’ve been ignoring it – a bit like a visit to the dental hygienist – you know you need to do it, but hate paying for the privilege and pain. It came to bite me on the bum this morning when I sat down to write a normal post and came face to face with my new reality. So I’ve decided to embrace the inevitable, override my inner voice saying ‘stick to simple’ and experiment – a bit like these peeps above are prepared to do.
I can’t decide if my love of oversized comes from form or rebellion, but it certainly speaks to me as the liberal way of dressing. To me it says the clothes I wear are more important than the body I have underneath and the shapes I create override any perceptions you may wish to project onto me. It says volume, space, freedom and comfort. And it says I can have all these things and still be stylish.
In my big, baggy, extra large book that’s a winner, winner chicken bloody dinner.

Statement x
Upstairs, in the furthest cupboard, I have some vintage clothes stored away for the day when Bella wishes to experiment. Â In amongst them is a full length chocolate brown velvet single breasted coat with the sort of split up the back that made you feel like a swash buckling highway man when walking down a street. Â The decadence of the material felt such a statement of the times, it was hard to see it having a real purpose again.

But there is a point of view that says when the world is going to the dogs, party like there’s no tomorrow….

The Dirty Shirt x
The true version of sexy isn’t bandeau dresses and containment, in both the physical and metaphorical sense.  It’s suggestion and just the right number of buttons left undone. And what better way to achieve that than with the humble shirt?

Alexa Chung x
It’s British, it’s a woman, it’s designed by a fashion icon…so Alexa Chung by Alexa Chung should be the wobblies de chiens. Â So why does it leave me – like her collaboration with AG Â on the clammy side of cold?
Like a crow over carrion, time to pick over the bones…
- There’s no progression of ideas. Â Like famous clothes horses before her, she’s taken inspiration from the wardrobe that’s made her: a bit of this, a bit of that. Â The link that draws them together is her, which is great if you are her. Â Or want to pretend to be her. Â But don’t you want to be yourself? Isn’t that what she’s all about? Being an individual…I’m confused..
2. She’s a hipster chick who’s proud to buy vintage and snuffle her way through charity shops. I doth my feathered hat.  But to emulate her style you just need to do the same..those Mary Janes? a fiver at Camden…Â
3. Because it’s so reliant on the past there’s not much modern twisting, which begs the question – where’s the house style to hang a feathered hat on?

4. She’s an intelligent woman who understands and has personally experienced the patriarchal influence on fashion, so why reproduce clothes for boys again?
You’re beautiful, rich, clever, creative – so be it, be original instead of hiding behind things other people have done.

Rejina Pyo x
There’s a quiet freshness about Rejina Pyo’s clothes.
She says herself ‘When it comes to clothes, I prefer a subtler approach and an element of surprise’.
With that in mind she resists the temptation for disposable, seasonal pieces.
Which makes her clothes familiar yet special.
Less is more: It’s feeding into my subconscious.
