Spring Edition x

The February edition of UK Vogue landed with a plump thud on my doormat yesterday.  Such a thrill to flick through the pages and drink in the professional visuals.  I always have to look through first..then I read, starting from the back, last article first.  Lord knows why, it might be something to do with being left handed, but that’s the way I like it. There’s a feeling of freedom and stepping away from the norm..which is what this edition is all about…enjoy the mismatching matching, the return of colour and the championing of the midi, whether it be in skirts or trousers. Pure lush.

I thought I was unique in flipping through magazines and then readi.g them from back to front…bizarre!

I like the concept of reading this fashion bible (my favourite magazine, with “Vogue Paris”, so imagine how happy I was to read your comment on my “Ibiza” post !) starting from the back ! Although, I’m right-handed, I do this with French “L’Officiel”, but only half-through ! Anyway, these pictures are vibrant and wonderful ! xxxxx

That Jackson Pollack-like print on that first dress is simply mouthwatering! Yum, I’m so happy to see midi’s come back. They are tricky to wear though. The hemline has to be just so…better get reaquainted with my inner seamstress!

I like the way that now, unlike say in the fifties, we can go loose and baggy on top..does mean there’s a great deal of emphasis on shoes though..pondering as I’m writing..I think it’s going to be a really fun few months in terms of silhouette x

Someone once told me that the advertising at the back of magazines always costs more because most people pick it up and flick through from the back! I love the day the new Vogue arrives on the doormat and the colours this month have bought joy to the gloom of these grey days. Colour and print clash is my world…..even if I am not always brave enough to wear it….xx
