Spring Edition x
The February edition of UK Vogue landed with a plump thud on my doormat yesterday. Such a thrill to flick through the pages and drink in the professional visuals. I always have to look through first..then I read, starting from the back, last article first. Lord knows why, it might be something to do with being left handed, but that’s the way I like it. There’s a feeling of freedom and stepping away from the norm..which is what this edition is all about…enjoy the mismatching matching, the return of colour and the championing of the midi, whether it be in skirts or trousers. Pure lush.
Laters, Kate x
You are left handed??? Me too!!! 🙂 And I do the same thing with magazines 😀
Hehe! Somehow it seems to make them last longer..or something! x
it might be that 😉
Flight delay of 3 1/2 hours. Off to WH Smith to pick me up a copy!
Bugger! Is that because of snow in NY?? Going from the damp cold of Northern Ireland to the freezing cold of the US…Good luck! At least you’ll have a good read handy! x
oui!
You mad, mad girl…I’m waiting for a new post..no pressure now…! x
I thought I was unique in flipping through magazines and then readi.g them from back to front…bizarre!
OMG! Hello Mum! xxx
I like the concept of reading this fashion bible (my favourite magazine, with “Vogue Paris”, so imagine how happy I was to read your comment on my “Ibiza” post !) starting from the back ! Although, I’m right-handed, I do this with French “L’Officiel”, but only half-through ! Anyway, these pictures are vibrant and wonderful ! xxxxx
I can’t decide whether it makes me concentrate more..or stops that feeling of disappointment when it’s all over! x
Love the pictures, so much color! I like the anticipation so I read from the beginning of the book or magazine.
I have all the lights on again this morning because it’s so dark so a bit of colour is very much appreciated and lapped up! x
I Love Love the first dress…. Absolutely beautiful and the other collections are pretty as well.
It’s a stunner..I love the clash with the bag..I am lusting over that bag.. x
You’ve got an array of collection to list on for here.
Many thanks for taking and uploading the photos! It was quite an immersion to scroll down your post to be bombarded with such a wealth of visuals! 🙂 Cheers!
There’s certainly something special about seeing them all working together and which colours really ‘pop’ x
Reblogged this on The Pretty Canary.
Thank you! x
GAH! That top floral dress…want to wear it everyone and twirl around in it! *sigh* I love spring fashion.
* everywhere!
Love It!
Hehe..What I find special about that pic is that nothing matches..coloured dress, different coloured bag, black bracelet, different coloured corsage, white shoes..but by grounding the black and the white, it pulls together…genius! x
Reblogged this on Victorine's Victories.
Thank you! x
No problem 🙂
Love It!!!
Thanks for this! Another thing I miss about London: Vogue UK, my favorite Vogue edition, much better than Vogue US IMHO.
!! Hope you’re surviving the cold and snow, though I know you hardy New Yorkers are used to it! x
That Jackson Pollack-like print on that first dress is simply mouthwatering! Yum, I’m so happy to see midi’s come back. They are tricky to wear though. The hemline has to be just so…better get reaquainted with my inner seamstress!
I like the way that now, unlike say in the fifties, we can go loose and baggy on top..does mean there’s a great deal of emphasis on shoes though..pondering as I’m writing..I think it’s going to be a really fun few months in terms of silhouette x
Someone once told me that the advertising at the back of magazines always costs more because most people pick it up and flick through from the back! I love the day the new Vogue arrives on the doormat and the colours this month have bought joy to the gloom of these grey days. Colour and print clash is my world…..even if I am not always brave enough to wear it….xx
I’m not left handed and I read from the back. It’s my preference. xx
