White Shirts..
When I first saw these, I knew they were not your average shirts.
7 shirts, one for each day of the week, inspired by Victorian and vintage blouses and made from a very specific fabric made of cotton and linen with a soft texture that holds volume. Designed by the Parisienne designer Atlantique Ascoli they scream style and understated cool.
What appeals is the need to take a second look: The different lines, curves where straight ones should be, the impeccable tailoring, the unexpected twists like attention to the back all wrapped up with a traditional bow.
I am far away from this kind of life but it’s a clever and remarkably simple idea..seven outfits for seven days – do we really need any more? Maybe this needs to be the guiding factor at the core of summer wardrobe planning….rich food for thought…

Amazing white shirts………
Always a joy to see a clever twist on a classic… x
Gah, anything with linen in it is a win in my book! Lovely and very different shapes to these outfits!
I know! I always nick my husbands in the summer…win win!
Utterly amazing. I am in love with this post. These white shirts are not your average shirts. The designs are what really interest me. Once again amazing post keep it up.
The attention to detail is sublime..and I love the concept behind the Collection..very intuitive.. x
White Linen shirts, Yum, Great Post 🙂
Makes me think of summer..and has just inspired me to buy a new vintage one! x
For some reason I imagine sad clowns would wear such shirts…it sounds bad but I mean it in a good way. They look so crisp and light! http://www.madelienerose.com
I hear you..I think it’s that underlying vintage feel.. x
A little boxy for my taste. That being said, a white shirt is a must have. 🙂
I’m rather there with the boxy at the moment – it’s like the shirt equivalent of the sweatshirt? although I do worry about the boob effect..would definitely need trying on! xxx
I love all the shirts. The only thing worries me about a white shirt is me being such a messy eater. I am terrified if I stain it. No wonder I always end up picking up dark coloured ones instead… (^-^;) xxx
A-ha! Until children I thought this..but I’ve learnt..white – pure white cotton – is the easiest to get clean..hence all our sofas are white! it’s called bleach….I have seen the light! xxx
So simple and yet so unique ! I adore the idea of spending a whole season with only 7 shirts (endless styling possibilities but, probably, a huge cleaning bill) ! xxxxx
It’s really made me think..I adore the idea as well..wish I had the money to give it a go with this Collection..but I am thinking along these lines now for summer..a cheaper version! I did buy a man’s vintage dress shirt today..loving it xxx
LOVE all of these – so simplistic.
These would be the shirts I’d wear in my dreams.. I imagine them all hanging up immaculately in my antique walnut armoire! X
I just got my first white shirt that I actually love and it definitely feels so chic and fancy!!
They are a wardrobe staple must really..the truth is until today I didn’t have a white one..cream yes, but no white..am delighted with my vintage mens shirt purchase as well!! x
Now, this is a fashion idea I can get behind! I love this idea and love the first shirt the best (the most conservative–no surprise there)!
I just bought a vintage shirt today..with additional collars..and a little lace collar..I’ve been having a bit of fun playing around with them! xxx
Ooooh–that sounds so great!
I love some of them, motores not so much, but definitively they stylish and elegant. XXX

I meant to say others not motores hahahahah! Ipad dictionary!!! 🙂
Ha! I was with you!! xxx
The best one was the one you designed with Anna. Still my favorite white shirt EVER! I didn’t care for the pillow case shirt. And the narrow shoulder, riding high on the wrist one either. Boy, all this ‘love’ and then there’s me…as usual, the wet blanket, not being able to ‘SEE’ what’s so great….{sigh} so sad.
