Champagne For Rosie x
Rosie Assoulin and her Resort 2015 Collection is a bridge between the fast fashion of the street and the up in the clouds pedestal of high couture: An addict who willingly embraces everything around her, it does seem incredible she’s only been around for a year.
Rather than designing for a particular person in mind, you get the feeling her Collections reflect who she is (boarder shorts included) which we then want to buy into.
She has a magic touch with volume: How it happens is not the same as saying why it works, but ease of movement plays an important part, as does beautiful fabrication.
The cut of the sleeve..beguiling temptation…
Utterly wearable humour.
Rafia made posh, even with a baseball cap.
She’s a woman: Bra strap not a problem.
Her recognisable signature – sculptural elements, pleats, stripes and colour are all worked through.
Oh to see this at the oscars..
If I had to choose one time it would be this cape – The perfect addition to an evening out, covering that moment when you look at your array of coats and realise goosebumps are the only way to go…or to just to throw over a stripy top and a pair of jeans for a thrilling trip to the playground..
Effortless cool-girl-grace.

Definitely champagne for Rosie, just gorgeous.
I love some of the dresses, so beautiful, particularly the yellow one, but can’t get my head round the wide trousers. Fabrics look gorgeous.
Yes to champagne! I’m obsessed, cannot choose 1. Reblogging to share.
Reblogged this on The Posh Blog.
I love the dresses–especially the Oscar one–and the polka dot items. And, when you wear the cape to the playground, we NEED a photo!
beautiful!!
I’m drooling! I’d be unable to choose just one!!
Love this trend! Super cool
Wow- great collection. There’s a lightness to her designs despite the mass amounts of fabric. It’s very inspiring and looks so fresh- I’ve got my eye on that yellow dress…though let’s face it, who wouldn’t happily wear each and every one of these pieces?! xo
Love, Love, LOVE! I am hard pressed to pick just one outfit. AND…..they will do well for Curvy! Hah~
Superb collection! Xxx
I feel there are a few oscar worthy dresses here, I like the coloured ruffley one.
Such a great collection! Love all the pieces! I especially love the red dress with the orange, yellow, and white underneath the skirt. Thanks for the like on my review of the Topman Design Spring 2015 Collection! Really appreciate it!
This collection is gorgeous! I really like the cape too:) Your blog is awesome! My name’s Kate too and I’m really into styling and writing. I think you would really like my blog! Check it out, I would really appreciate a follow back:) http://layeredindulgence.wordpress.com
I’m sitting here in a coffee house CRYING because I don’t have one of these pieces! I want to pound the table and kick my feet! Such beautiful things-and you, as usual, have written it up so wonderfully. Wow! I’m just in AWE of this collection.
Well, such lovely things…but what I really want to know is how she get that bag to float alongside the girl? I could do with that as my shoulder aches with the weight… xo
Reblogged this on de Frémancourt and commented:
“…a bridge between the fast fashion of the street and the up in the clouds pedestal of high couture”…I fully agree with MaisonBentleyStyle on this point, and couldn’t help the urge to reblog this absolutely lovely blogpost – Rosie Assoulin’s 2015 collection is indeed unique, and a fine blend of trends, past and present, old and new, giving a very ‘specific’ edginess to each oufit. On a personal note, I absolutely love the black dress (fourth photo from the bottom) and the black cape (last photo), the orange dress (the first photo) especially for its androgynous twist and the skirt on the fifth photo from the bottom.
Love the wide trousers.
Marvelous shapes. I see more than one I’d love to have.
