Jamie Beck & Ralph Lauren x
These pictures were taken by the photographer Jamie Beck backstage at the Ralph Lauren Show.
There’s a serenity and calm to them away from the glare of front of house. Simple passions and gentle grace.
Where the details of the clothes can sing, the glass pane of the runway removed.
The rehearsal more telling than the stage production, capturing moments before the masks come down.
A designer bag now so effortless, approachable and lust-worthy..

It helps that Jamie Beck always adds a sense of timelessness to her work, majestically catching the quality and movement of material she skilfully opens up the arteries to the pitfalls of desire…
I fall.

Love the style!
It’s the sort of clothes you wear in your dreams.. x
Absolutely beautiful photos! And the clothes aren’t too bad either…;)
Hehe! The beading and the feathers look other worldly..sigh!! xxx
Beautiful photography! Makes the cloths look (almost) incidental. xxx
She really captured the quiet, telling moments it what must be a sea of chaos..but the sense of peace is amazing.. xxx
Awesome pictures ! It’s rare to see peaceful backstage moments ! xxxxx
I know!! They must be the complete opposite to what was going on! xxx
That’s a great photographer–I like these photos much better than runway shots!
There’s an intimacy that is lost on the runway..I suppose, historically – before everything became so theatrical, this was how the clothes were seen.. xxx
I wonder if the models would have reacted differently had the photographer been a man?!
I like your thinking!! more preening and posing??! xxx
Perfection!
It’s like being a fly on the wall! xxx
I love Jamie’s photography!
She takes such elegant and graceful pictures – I loved her shots of Jenny Packham too – really magical xxx
Stunning! Really…I love Lauren, but these pics really soften the whole image. In a good way.
I agree – It’s odd but being up closer seems to add to the magic rather than take it away.. xxx
So much more interesting than his actual shows! Perhaps his clothes are not at their best in a show. In these photos however they hold court. xo
These seem so much more mysterious and glamorous – I think it helps you can see the detail of the workmanship..all such a blur on the runway really..and maybe because you see it as a group rather than as individuals? but hey – there’s something there! xxx
Stunning photos that are so inspiring!!
Good to see the risk of black and white as well..maybe that’s what helping the details stand out?! xxx
Totally adore these fabulous Jamie Beck photos…
and the details of the clothes are truly singing…
songs we never, ever heard on the runway 😉 ~xo
They do look totally different don’t they? So much more human and covetable! xxx
