Belting up..
In the ebb and flow of life, the Belt seems to have all but disappeared. A bit like hats. I first saw this one in the window of a shop when Christmas shopping and it stopped me in my tracks. I managed to restrain the desire of buying there and then (just) in the hope it would be in the Sale – and it was, reduced from £49.00 to £29.00 which really is a paltry sum for such a peacock piece – You certainly can’t wear it with your hands folded in your lap.

I want to wear it with a loose silk shirt dress in a dark navy blue. But it’ll work with most staples, taking them on multiple journeys (such a win win).
Pieces like this are so important: Mixing opposites, crafting wrong combinations to create something right..they shouldn’t be ignored.
So I say long live the belt!
Laters, Kate x

Even more than this beautiful belt, I love this gorgeous illustration … truly splendid ! xxxxx
Thank you lovely..trying to get back into it..a New Years resolution of sorts! xxx
Beautiful illustration! Belt is a gorgeous colour (and that’s saying something for me as I always wear black) a flash of this colour would do the trick! X
I was surprised that the only colours they offered the belt in were a bright pink and this green..it would be so good in a cobalt blue and a black..but this green is a great shade – and just makes it a little bit different! xxx
I love it! I can see it against a Tucker print silk dress, a black crepe dress, a little tailoring detail against a white column Maxi for Summer. Lots to work with – here! Have fun. XO
You were reading my mind! I love those Tucker dresses!! xxx
Lovely belt but, more importantly, may I add my admiration for your illustration? I do hope we see more of these in the coming months!
I am looking into courses to get my eye back in..there was a time I could draw anything, but that was many years ago!! xxx
I live that color. I collect vintage belt buckles and create new belts for my styling all the time. . Our A.V.A Live Radio After Show just kicked off last week. I Hope you’ll check it out and participate with me in the conversation.
How exciting! I will def check it out! xxx
It’s going well. We are on episode 5.
Congrats to you! xxx

They do make a mighty fine shirt!..which was why I was so surprised to see a mighty fine belt! xxx
It would also look great on a purple dress 🙂
Green and purple – the colours of Wimbledon! And my old school colours…which I think came from the colours of the suffragette movement.. xxx
Really? Didn’t know that 🙂 Just thought about Gucci’s colorblocking trend in 2011 with the orange-green-purple colors. I loved them!
Love the belt, LOVE the illustration!!! Long live the belt, and long live waiting for it to got on sale and snatching it up!! 🙂
I’ve worked out I do better Sales shopping if I know exactly what I’m shopping for..otherwise I get brain-ache! xxx
I love belts and one is such a gorgeous color and on sale is a win, win. I agree it would look beautiful against navy blue (a bit like the color scheme of Marc Jacobs last season). Beautiful illustration too, wish I could draw like that!!! Enjoy the belt xxx
Oh yes..forgotten about Marcky…long live a bit of colour! xxx
