Door-Candy x
The word on the street in the South West London ‘hood is that festive bling matters…bugger the size of your car, house..waist…What hits the spot in December is your door-adornment slash taste ranking. The competition is hotting up…
So far there are no reported cases of wreath-rage,
but those in the know fear it’s only a matter of Christmas time…
Laters, Kate x
Lovely! I have to take care of my door… maybe.
Do something wonderfully artistic..you know you can! xxx
There’s some serious wreath action here – so festive, I love it!
The white wreath three down is the LARGEST wreath I have ever seen! x
Torn between classics and the heart-shaped jewel in second pic. Just keep scrolling up to see it again…
I have a soft spot for that one..subtly stunning x
The most beautiful ones really make the magnificent stained glass windows stand out even more ! xxxx
Some of them it’s gilding a lilly! xxx
Uhhh, will it freeze in London? I’m worried about those cranberries on the 2nd to last wreath~ XO
HAAAAAAAAHA! White Christmas’s are as rare as hens teeth for us..but frosts? that’s another matter..at least I’ll be able to tell the police that no carol singers have been murdered! x
I love a good wreath, when the streets are peppered with them it makes everything feel so Christmassey and homely.
love this door decoration ideas.
My door now has self esteem issues. 🙂
I think you need to have firm but kind words..a bit of glitter does not a great door make..I know you can do it! xxx
I like the blue thistle one best. 🙂 the pine cone one does rather look as if it has fox poos nestling in it……heh. X
Hehe..thought it was just me..I thought it had the makings of surprisingly festive sculpture by David Altmejd using cranberries intertwined with cones and plaster willies…xxx
Ohhh, they are so pretty! Love the season xxxxxx
On these miserably days, they do sparkle the world up.. hope your techie issues are finally sorted…. xxx
Love them all. Which one’s yours? xxx
After seeing all these, I think mine needs some serious wreath pimping… x
Loving this!!! missing London now…xo
There is something special about a wreath on a Victorian door..its festive tradition and timeless magic all rolled into a glorious festive garland! x
Wow- really hard to pick a favorite, but that top one may be my favorite!
Don’t look at our comments above…we both obviously have sick minds.. xxx
Love the red-berry wreath. We have a similar one here on our door in Sydney!
You’re OK..no chance of a heavy frost for you! (Dievca’s mum made one that exploded in the frost!)
My goodness! We humans will find ways to compete, won’t we?! Still, this is a harmless, gorgeous way to do it!
They do put a smile on my face! xxx
very artistic and festive. love it!
Are you going to have one?! xxx
Keeping up with the Joneses in red satin and pine cones! They are rather jolly though, aren’t they? But you could run something up that would have the whole neighbourhood twitching behind their net curtains!
(I can’t help thinking it would be very funny to run around one night and swap them all over…is that really bad and just the result of my self-induced hangover?!) xxxxx
They’d probably be hungover too and think they’d done it themselves on the way home last night. They’d be mortified…then you just peer through your net curtains and have a chuckle 🙂 Oh you are wicked.
All lovely but door number two gets my vote!
That one has a special place in my heart too! x
Love it!!!
Those are beautiful. I am also a SW-er… but on the broke end. You know where you have two front doors because your street number has a B or C… or an F after it… so no door candy for us.
I thought I recognised your pictures and so almost said something! back of Northcote road close to Webbs road?! Not a million miles away! xxxx
I live in Earlsfield just off Garrett Lane on the Wandsworth side. SW REPRESENT!! Lol!
Neighbour!! I’m close to Wandsworth Common! xxx
I like all of them, they look so festive and happy, lol
In these dark and dreary days, they do make a special difference! x
This made me chuckle because there was just a news story here in the States about a problem with illegal “tipping”. Rogue wreath makers going around the tree lots cutting the ends of Christmas trees off for their wares, disfiguring and even killing the trees, for million dollar wreath industry. Are they being smuggled across the pond to the UK? Hmmm…
Hehe! I’ll have to inspect them all very closely! x
Most of these are gorgeous! Is one of them yours (obv not asking which)? I’d give one of them a night at most before it got stollen round our way.
These are so cute! The first two are beautiful
Love these doors, now I am in the mood to decorate mine…
