Creative Coffee.. x
Creative Coffee this week had the enticing theme of Christmas-wreath-making-whilst-drinking-mulled-wine…Let’s face it..a winning, festive, smile-inducing combination!
We all had a basic moss base to work with and oodles of luscious greenery to choose from..
Silver or white spray was an option. As was lots of other delicious bits..
I went eu naturale… ivy, eucalyptus and blue thistles..

Love the Wreath, Christmas can come now !
We are right in the thick of it now..school nativities this week..always guaranteed to bring a smile..and possibly the odd tear! x
Lovely, Kate! When are you coming over to do ours?
xxrxx
Whenever you’ll have me! xxxxx
o what a lovely activity and it turned out beautifully too x
It is lovely to be given official time to creatively indulge..particularly at this time of year! x
My problem is time management. I need to sort out my life. Looking at how you do it put things in perspective for me!
Oh, the beauty of the blue thistles, highlighted by the gorgeous purple ribbon ! All this wine must have made your creativity and DIY skills even bigger ! xxxxx
I think the alcohol had a very positive effect! I can never, will never resist a glass of mulled wine..particularly in such pretty glasses! x
Gorgeous! Can you make one for me? Shipping shouldn’t be too expensive…
One year, my Mum made a cranberry wreath following the directions from a Martha Stewart magazine article. It was very lovely until we had a deep freeze. All the cranberries exploded on the front door~XO
I LAUGHED OUT LOUD!! Oh your poor mum…but that is very funny! I’m sure it could be interpreted as an artistic comment on life?! x
You always take the most amazing photos! Absolutely gorgeou wreath and I adore that you used purple! Simply fab. XOXO – K
I think I’m lucky in that I have gorgeous things to take pics of!! But I do love it..I was tempted by the beautiful hydrangeas but I did an hydrangea wreath last year..thistles it was! x
Oooo me likey! Much more tasteful than my brussels sprout one last year!!!!
Only you!! Did they start to smell? I vividly remember my A-level Art exam..I was painting fish which were pretty ripe after 3 days..but worse was the cabbage in the still life next door! x
No smell….probably because they froze in the cold! Caused quite a stir…as brussels often do! Not sure how to top it this year,,,xx
What a beautiful wreath! Great job on the color combinations, love the way you used purple in there! You should post a wreath making tutorial, I’m sure people will be interested in a Christmas DIY project!
It was surprisingly simple..little bunches tied together with wire, then wired onto the base in a ‘brickwork’ pattern. Did give me a new respect for all the professional florists.. x
Doesn’t sound that simple to me, you did a great job!
That sounds like a perfectly fun event! And I love that they provided everything and you could just pick and choose–and what good choosing you did!
That for me is a HUGE part of the joy..turning up and getting stuck in straight away without a thought except creating something..I do love Creative Coffee..it is such food for the soul x
Beautiful!
Thank you lovely! x
Such an amazing blog! Please follow back! Happy Holidays
Creative Coffee must be great fun. Especially the mulled wine part! (Ok, the purple ribbon too) xxx
