My Maison, Mia Casa..
On this special day when our friends across the pond are celebrating Thanksgiving, others are celebrating Hanukkah (and some are even celebrating the unique Thanukkah (not to be seen again for another 79,000 years)) I thought I’d welcome you all into my house for a few festive nibbles and a couple of glass of something cold and classy to raise a toast to everlasting joy, happiness and all that’s good with the world!

(Yep. The laundry room makes it. Β Just because I love organised laundry..)

Every picture screams “exquisite taste”, “warmth”, “lovely family” … And your bathroom is my idea of the dream bathroom ! I don’t celebrate Thanksgiving either, but I’m soooo grateful that you’ve opened the doors to your lovely and creative world to me, a few months ago ! xxxxx
Thank you lovely..lets find a cosy corner together, devour those nibbles, drink champagne and put the world to rights! () hug xxx

what is Thanuka? couldn’t find anything online….
Hoho! It’s the mashing of Thanksgiving and Hanuka..both being celebrated today. Saw post about fair – and keep meaning to reply – but YES! Will probably have a child with me – but in principal would love to go/meet up! xxx
Thanks for the clarification, I hadn’t made the connection!
Cool, let’s meet up, glad you’re bringing the child π
my email is gal.it000 AT gmail DOT com
Perfect!
Thank you for sharing! You have a lovely home. I found a French Pinot Noir (Tortoise Creek) that actually pairs well with seafood — I left it in the foyer for you. It is a gift for the hostess gift.
How very delicious! Now come in β I see you are wearing that wonderful red leather trench..I am very very envious! But my, it suits you! Now..a glass of bubbly for the lady..hereβs to your very good health and happiness! xxx
Thanuka, Thanksgivukkah, Gobble Tov–lots of fun to be had with that! Your home looks lovely–have a peaceful and wonderful weekend there!
Now I know you’re busy today..but have a very quick glass and I’ll show you around..and then we can send you on your merry way with a message of love for the snow geese!..and save me a piece of chocolate! xxx
Gorgeous home and I agree, your bathroom floor is exquisite! Have a wonderful day x
You’re not escaping that quickly! What am I going to do with all that food?! In you come, coat off..now come and have a look at this Austrian painted wardrobe……. xxxxx
Happy Thanksgiving! I’m finding this to be the first holiday I’m struggling with abroad, but it’s so heartwarming to see my friends sending well wishes! You have such a lovely home and I’m thankful you shared it with me today! XOXO – K
We can’t have that! There’s spiced cider waiting for you..and a slice of pumpkin pie has our name on it! Now grab a place on the sofa because a game of charades is about to start…xxx
Seated! And watching the Parade now. It’s the little things! π
That bathroom??!!! In love…
Hehe..in fact there are two bathrooms there..the tree wallpaper is one..and then the blue is the other..I’ve always wanted to convert a Victorian wash stand into a sink. Now in you come..grab a glass and I’ll show you around properly..! xxxxx
Lovely home! Those green dog! I’m in love.
They are special! When the decorations come out they get their very own festive bauble collars! x
Extraordinary!
In you come..lots of food here..an impromptu party just because it’s that time of year..I hear the music is starting up.. x
I love the pink vase.
A vintage find..they are the best..unique, different and don’t break the bank! x
That’s amazing Kate! I’m so impressed with your style! π
Bless you Tim, Thank you.. x
Très beau. And I like your taste in books.
Beautiful home! I knew it would be! I brought you a vintage Now1…. 30 years yoday since it first appeared on the shelves. I know you are far too young to remember culture club and madness but it would end a good night with a nostalgic sing along??
Hehe! Great choice lady! Turn that volume up! xxx
Hehe! Any favourites there? x
Lovely, great design of the bathroom Kate. Kx
I wrote a post a while ago on where the tiles come from..it’s an amazing site with hundreds of options including designing your own..the post was called ‘Thing of Beauty 3’ or see if this link works..if all that fails, the website is called ‘Villa Lagoon Tiles’ and is visual/design heaven x
Ahhhh, just home from hours of eating and drinking and playing. Lovely to see your beautiful home again-and SO nice to come home to my place so clean and quiet. This day I am thankful for my family and friends and my health (what there is left of it) Now, back to writing. Almost there…
What??? Out partying?? On Thanksgiving?? For HOURS??? Get back to that writing desk immediately madame..I don’t know..leaving us all hanging by a thread..you’d better not’ve killed her off…there’ll be trouble! x
Lovely pics and those shoes are awesome.π
Sigh. They are PERFECT with rolled 501s..just such a shame they are so bloody uncomfortable!! x
I love all the cool ecclectic Things in your home. I feel like your home reflects you/your personality? Beautiful xx
Thank you. It’s amazing how it all organically grows, but I do love to have things with memories/meaning/history.. x
Perfection. π
xxxxxx!
Oh my goodness your bathroom is gorgeous.
I’ve always loved these style of tiles and was DELIGHTED to finally have the chance a couple of years ago to use them..the great thing about a bathroom is it is a SMALL space! x
THAT BATHROOM and the rest of this house! Incredible style. Incredible style. I applaud your taste π
Bless you! At the time of doing the bathroom it felt pretty radical..the fashion was very much white, clean and clinical..just not me! x
Clean, white, and clinical? Haha I think you might be talking about minimalists! I am quite a minimalist at heart but then most of the time, I want to be eclectic and fully surrounded by colors of all sorts.
Wow, you’re bathroom IS classy. I’d feel like I’d have to be so careful to not make any splashes on the sink counter or mirror, though. Pretty and fancy shoes too!
Hehe..as long as your water’s not made of lemon juice you’re ok..the top is marble so pretty durable! x
Adore the ‘NEVER FORGET HOW TO KISS’ candy heart…
such a wonderful message for all…
such a lovely, ‘sweet’ reminder~
I so love all the images in your blogs. make me want to you know, decorate, get rid of the clutter (his) and replace it with tasteful object d’art π
I’ll replay that phrase back in my head..’tasteful object d’art’ not wasteful tat as my husband would say! (Not that he has any choice what so ever..and in fact he bought me the love heart!) x
Thank you for welcoming us to your home π I love every little detail. Such style! Are you an interior designer? I loved the bathrooms, the tiles, the tree wallpapaer! I loved the frog, and the angel mirror π
