Blog Paaardy!

THE GREAT GATSBYDo we need a reason to celebrate? NOOOOO! But it has been a smooth transition to this effectively new Blog ‘Maison Bentley Style’..I had no idea you could change your url and still manage to hold everything together, but you can and I am very grateful!……So let’s get this disco ball rolling!!

The rules of the game:

1. You are ALL invited! to accept, please leave your Blog address in the comments below.

2. The party will take place on Sunday 27 October starting at 9.00am GMT but don’t worry if you’re on the other side of the world..because of all the time differences the last party went on for 2 days!

3. Write a welcoming post with ‘Welcome to the Maison Bentley Style Blog Party’ Somewhere on the page..think of it as the welcome mat to your Blog.  It’ll make people feel connected and part of the fun, feel free to talk about your Blog and what people can expect to find – the last time we did this everyone experienced a huge surge in stats and followers so it’s really worth doing some house cleaning and tarting up the paintwork..have some nibbles handy and a glass of something special ready..music anyone? If you’re behind UK time, think about putting up your post Saturday night.

4. We live in a virtual world..so this is YOUR chance to wear/interior design/gourmet your food/dream the dream to WHATEVER LEVEL YOU FANCY..that little Chanel number you’ve always lusted? It’s in your wardrobe..in your taylored-to-fit size too..those Valentino shoes? On your feet! You live in in a CASTLE? REALLY? The sky is the limit..put up pictures and let us know because all you need to do is tell us in your post! And quite frankly, the more outrageous..the more outrageous!  To give you an idea, this was last partie’s post.

5. This post will stay up till Saturday evening, then I will list all the participants in a new post for Sunday..and then it’s super simple..we fly around on our magic cyber carpets and visit all the names on the list…and try not to get too drunk!

    While you celebrate your party I will be up in the airs, starting a five weeks trip around the world. I wish you lot of guests and lots of fun! Enjoy it.

    Oh, you were much luckier than me with your changeover then. I stopped turning up on the wordpress reader, which is apparently where a lot of people were following me…

    Nothing like getting virtually-drunk to party out the sorrows, though. I’m in! I’m… not 100% sure what I’m supposed to put in the body of the post. I might have to hunt through some archives.

    I’m having a party weekend (which is so not me). I have a reunion on Friday and then a 50th birthday on Saturday so this party should top that one off.

    Hic, being on the other side of the pond, I didn’t wanna miss–hic–out so I mighta started a teensy weensie bit early…I”ll be wearing a wide brimmed bold striped hat with veil and holding a long cigarette holder, but will probably keep on my gardening wellies––I’ll be sitting down all night and as Schiaparelli said, the impact should be from the waist up.
