Every little bit..
A photo taken by Man Repeller’s Leandra Medine to demonstrate the chaos that is Fashion Week. But what catches your eye? The shoes? The placky bags? Or that Isabel Marant invitation dripping in fairy dust?
Sometimes it’s the little things that maketh the magic..the bits we mortals don’t ever see like the Fashion Week invitations we’d love to prop up on our heaving mantlepieces…so I tracked a few down..
Check out the name in lights..
Just waiting to see WHAT will arrive seems to be half the joy. And do you think people keep them?…One day Rodders, one day..
Laters, Kate x
Last one is my favourite x
We had a BRILLIANT flyer through the door a couple of months ago – so good I kept it. Was sort of origami – but every flap you turned opened another picture and another message – it was pure genius xxx
Would be nice if most of what comes thru the door didnt go straight in the recycling bin!
Awesome post! I’d love to get even just one of those in my mail box.

Even looking at them you feel the excitement..
have to give the credit for Betsey Johnson!!!
Isn’t it fab? I think my heart belongs to Burberry though..
Burberry is classy all the way ❤
It’s all in the detail. The origami & the Betsey Johnson ideas are my favotites.
Wow, they all look very original! I like especially the Betsy Johnson one (^0^)
Would love to know what sort of pills they are..politically correct or otherwise?! x
I don’t know whose it is, but the origami one is irresistible! And Leandra’s pic, suitably repelling!
Clever isn’t it? But not as clever as the infamous flyer from an estate agents no less that came through my door..really should take some pictures of it..except can’t bear to give an Estate Agent any free publicity! I did look into how much it cost though..unfortunately £10,000. Sigh. xxx
Love the origami card. Great post!!
I always assumed the invitations would be on thick. embossed cream paper like old fashioned wedding invitations..how wrong was I! x
Of course we keep them! I was going through a box of files a few weeks ago and found my invitation to Bill Blass’s last show — held during monsoon rains, with the tent leaking. Fashion Week was suspended immediately following his 10 a.m. show in Bryant Park because a hurricane crept up the east coast and hit New York.
Ha! I’m a squirrel so I keep everything and love it when you see these things again and all sorts of memories are triggered xxx
I am in love with the Mulberry / Wedgewood Tea cup. Sweet, petite and elegant. A lovely post to start my day.
Don’t you just want to find a dolls house to match?! x
Nice!
I love the shoes in fuschia pink and blue…… and a dress made to match!!!
Do love the Wedgwood cup…reminded me of doing a project on Josiah when I was 10!
Match? Leandra? Not a hope..I bet she wore them with ancient, holey boyfriend jeans with the legs rolled up..and an orange batwing jumper..and looked amazing! xxx
Myself? It’s got to be the Wedgwood tea cup and saucer. But all of them are original and creative.
I think I would have to put this under one of those Victoriana glass domes to be admired for ever more.. xxx
Love.
They’re pretty little treasures that everyone should keep ! Betsey Johnson’s particularly kills me ! Thanks for sharing such wonderful images and words ! XX
That Wedgwood Mulberry teacup is to die for adorable!
Of course you would have to keep these–so very clever and memorable! Love the teacup and Betsey Johnson!
