Chaos and Couture..

Like ducks in a firing range the great and the good stepped out last night for the Met Gala Ball to celebrate the opening of Punk: Chaos to Couture Exhibition.  What joy! there was no place to hide  – you either nailed it, failed it..or demonstrated you never really had it…I swear with that title it was always going to be the perfect blood sport…let the games commence..

Biggest surprise of the night?

anne-hathaway-bleach-blonde-hair-at-met-ball-2013-05

Anne Hathaway in Valentino!  Blonde and rocking it.

Could easily have done a ‘Gwyneth’..but so doesn’t.

Must’ve changed her stylist hey.

"PUNK: Chaos To Couture" Costume Institute GalaKatie Perry not known for her sartorial elegance gets a huge smacker on the lips for this fabulous choice.  Dolce and Gabbana.  Sigh.  Loved their whole collection.  Accessorised perfectly.

miley-cyrus-met-ball-2013-red-carpet-03Miley Cyrus in Marc Jacobs.  Cool simple hot elegance.

This was always going to be up her street.

If I was being really picky..shocking coloured hair would’ve taken it stratospheric.

Definitely, Sienna, Alexa and SJP understood the leitmotiv of the Met Gala Ball. I am shocked with Uma Thurman’s dress! First I thought she was an actress of Mad Men! :S

If you look back to the Oscar dresses, it’s very much in that vein..but up against real fashionistas..how old fashioned does it look? And unflattering.. xxx

Madonna was a favorite! Laugh? I cried. The Vacarello was my personal swoon moment even though I couldn’t have pulled that off in my 20’s. Anna Wintour looked wonderful. Love that dress. Great post!

Anna Wintour would never pierce her nose, put a stripe of color on her hair, or wear lips that looked, well, coffinish. Will never get over Coco Rocha…she can do no wrong! As for Madonna, oh, freakin’, never mind…
